Fall Information

School re-opening has gone well. It is so great to back to school and see the children!

Now that we are back to a "semi-normal" routine, here's some important information.

"When in Doubt- Keep them Out!" Unfortunately, this needs to be our new mantra for this year. If your child has any symptoms- runny nose, headaches, coughs (not related to allergies), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or any temp of 100 or greater, THEY SHOULD NOT COME TO SCHOOL!

If they come to me with any of those symptoms, they will be checked out by me, placed in the medical waiting room and you will be called to come and dismiss them. At that point, they would need to be evaluated by their PCP, to determine another cause of the illness, sent for a Covid19 test, OR remain out of school for 10 days. This is per district/ DPH/ CDC guideleines. A medical note from the doctor or a negative covid test result would be required to return to school.

Immunizations are still required for school entry, despite the pandemic situation.Students that have missing immunizations MUST have documentation of all state required vaccines submitted NO LATER than November 16, 2020.

The Commonwealth of MA has mandated that ALL children receive a flu vaccine by December 31, 2020. Please send in documentation if your child has received a flu vaccine from their PCP, CVS, Target etc.

If you have a received a flu shot from one of the NAPS flu clinics, we have the documentation, so you don't need to worry!

NAPS have Flu Clinics set up for October 6 and 8, from  2:30-6:00PM at NAMS and on Thursday, October 15, 2:30-6:00PM at Community School. You can sign up on line @ naschools.net. These are FREE!

Lastly, as of right now, MA DPH has suspended all of the mandated screenings for hearing/vision, scoliosis and Growth.

Please call if you have any questions or concerns!
